Marcille E. Berryman

April 18, 1936 — August 21, 2008

Marcille Berryman, a loving wife and mother, passed away on August 21, 2008 at the age of 72. Her second fight with cancer took her away from her family, friends and relatives. Marcille is survived by her husband, Boyd Berryman and four children from a previous marriage, Tom Coulter and wife Paula, Lori Coulter, Meg Coulter and Tim Coulter and wife Jane. Marcille was born in Oberlin Kansas on April 18, 1936 to Arthur and Lucille (Anderson) Holmberg. Marcille grew up on a farm outside of Oberlin Kansas. She attended four different country schools and graduated from Decatur County High School in 1956. After her father died, she was the owner of the family farm and continued to manage it for another 30 years. Marcille also completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Hastings College in Hastings Nebraska. She then went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln Nebraska. She was a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, a National Certified Counselor and a National Certified Career Counselor. Marcille was a career counselor, administrator and teacher at several different colleges in Nebraska and Colorado. She was instrumental in helping people discover their direction in life, identify their career interests and establish their life goals. She had a natural ability to assist these individuals with decisions and to make their lives satisfying and rewarding. Marcille was caring and dedicated person, who gave her entire being to family and friends. She had many friends, whom she loved dearly, and always made new friends easily. She kept in touch with her relatives in Sweden and had the chance to visit them there. She enjoyed many activities including hiking, camping, traveling, learning, music, theater and reading. She loved animals. She loved life. She showed that love through her dedication to family and friends, and through her continuous attention to the beauty of nature and people. She will be missed. Since she loved animals, memorials may be given, in her name, to the Denver Dumb Friends League.
