Margaret ""Peggy"" Bright was born on July 5, 1923 in Wheaton, Illinois. Her parents were Louis and Grace Brunick, both immigrants who came over on the ""boat"" from Austria and Scotland respectively. Peggy's brothers were Paul and Jack. She graduated from Wheaton High School in 1941. She married Joseph Bright in 1943, and went along with him to various Air Force bases as he learned to fly for the US Army Air Corps during World War II. She worked at various jobs while Joe was serving in the military. After the war, Peggy and Joe had three children, Daniel, Jerry, and Janice. The job of raising a family ensued and included 2 dogs, baseball games in the backyard, and many summer camping trips. When the children grew up and were on their own, Joe and Peggy bought a little trailer and traveled all over the states. Peggy loved to travel, and one of her favorite trips was to Scotland where she was able to visit the birthplace of her mother in Dingwall, Scotland. Joe and Peggy were also snowbirds, and wintered in Florida for almost thirty years. In 1990, Peggy and Joe moved from their Wheaton residence to Centennial, Colorado. Peggy is survived by her husband, Joe, son Daniel and his wife Mary (East Peoria, IL), son Jerry and his partner Rick Porter (Atlanta, GA), and daughter Janice and her husband Lupe (in Centennial, CO). Joe and Peg were blessed to have five grandchildren (Suzy, Bill, Katie, Beth, Amy) and five great grandsons (Will, Charlie, Wyatt, Alexander, Chase). Peggy was well loved all her life. She had a smart wit, a wonderful sense of humor and a ready smile. Last month, Joe and Peggy were blessed to have celebrated their 72nd Anniversary together. What a celebration! Burial of ashes will be at Fort Logan National Military Cemetery in Denver, CO at a later date. Please share your condolences with Peggy's family by signing the guest book below.
