Margaret G. Campbell

Margaret (Peggy) Grace Campbell, age 84, died at Alpine Nursing Home in Thornton, Colorado on August 10, 2010. Born May 9, 1926 in Great Falls, Montana, to Adelia DeCamp & John Enders, she was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Shipman of Wolf Point, Montana where she was raised. Margaret graduated from Presbyterian School of Nursing June of 1950 and participated in the nursing profession for almost 50 yrs. Her graduation present was an engagement ring and on December 27, 1950 she married David John Campbell III at Warren Methodist Church of Denver. Margaret was a member of various organizations including the Colorado Historical Society, Colorado Horseman's Council, PT Nurses Association, as well as an active member of her church. Survivors include husband David; brother William Shipman; sons David IV (Bonne), Bruce & Craig; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by son, James. Memorial service to be held at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 500 Drake Street, Denver, Colorado 80221 on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO. Memorial contributions are welcome to be made in Margaret's honor to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, in lieu of flowers.
