Our beloved mother, Peggy Dickhudt, born July 20th 1924, passed away Monday morning, October 18th, 2010 in Greenwood Village, Colorado. She was one of 15 children born to the late William and Gertrude (nee Meyers) Elwood. Born and raised in St. Paul Park, Minnesota, she moved to California in 1950 with her husband of 52 years, the late John R. (Jack) Dickhudt, who passed away in 1995. Peggy lived in Fountain Valley (Orange County), California for 39 years before moving to Colorado in 2007. Our mother loved her dog, (Dan) Dandy, and took great joy in her ability to make people laugh. She loved Vegas, walking in the sunshine, and bowling with her girlfriends. She will remain the ultimate Dodger fan with the best seat in the universe. She is survived by her son, Gene R. (Joe) Dickhudt of McPherson, Kansas, her daughter, Jacqueline (Babe) Kelly, of Seattle, Washington, and her daughter and son-in-law Judith L. (Judy) and Steve Supple of Lone Tree, Colorado She is survived by her three grandchildren: Max Kelly of San Francisco, Beverly (Stuart) Mac Kenzie of South Riding, Virginia, and Kenneth Dickhudt of San Diego, California. Also survived by three great grandsons, Joshua, Iain and Jack MacKenzie of South Riding, Virginia. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 22, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel in Centennial, Colorado.
