Margaret Guzman

Our precious mother, Margaret Luciana Guzman of Thornton, CO passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2022. Margaret was 86 years old and was born on May 11, 1936 in Denver, CO. Margaret was the loving wife for 43 years to her beloved husband Phillip and she never remarried. They had four beautiful children, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In life, Margaret was a baker for Adams County School District 12 schools until she retired. She loved to travel to many different places and share adventures with her husband Phillip. Anyone who knew our mom knew she was an avid sports fan and she followed all sports, but she was most definitely a diehard Broncos fan. One of her favorite things every year was the NFL draft. She studied and tracked each team and followed to see where players went. You could ask her anything about a team and she would know the answer. Our Mother loved her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and sisters deeply. Family was the most important thing to her and she is remembered as a fierce and loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Phillip, her parents Rudolph and Mercedes Garcia, granddaughters Jessica and Samantha Harvel, grandson Ryan Rollins, sister Dorothy Guzman and brothers Henry and Eugene Garcia. She is survived by her son Kenneth Guzman, daughters Sandra Harvel (Gary), Sharon Gurule (Gerard) and Laura Cossey (Brian), four grandchildren Heather Wormell (David), Megan Goble (Eric), Isabella Gurule and Liese (Dakota), and seven great-grandchildren Meriah, Zachariah and Azayla Rollins, Stella, Lucy, Kayson and Marley Wormell.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229. Her celebration of life will be a private service for all family on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:30am with a reception following at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park, 11701 Community Center Drive, Northglenn, CO 80233.
