Margaret Alice Lirette

Margaret Alice Lirette went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2018. Marge was born on March 5, 1941 in a little place called Emmet Township, Wisconsin to her parents, Edward & Amelia Kurtzweil. Later in life, when Marge and some of her girlfriends moved to Washington DC; she fell in love with and married her beloved husband, Thomas Lirette. Tom & Marge eventually settled down in Denver, Colorado and raised their family here. Marge always put her family first and loved her husband and family dearly. She will be remembered as a lover of fishing in the mountains, an excellent cook, an experienced gardener, and she often enjoyed crocheting. Marge was known to go all-out for every holiday, and she was always up for a good board or card game.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Lirette; her children, John (Vicki) Lirette, Melissa (Randy) Heilman, and Cheryl (Michael) Queen; five granddaughters; and her siblings, Thomas (Shirley) Kurtzweil and Cecelia (Charles) Schoenfuss.

Marge is preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Rita (Sylvester) Prihoda, Dorothy (Delbert) Rasmussen, Roman (Helen) Kurtzweil, Anthony (Sally) Kurtzweil, Verene (John) Stark, Edwin (Angeline) Kurtzweil and Elizabeth (Melvin) Kaiser.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening with a Reading of the Rosary beginning at seven o'clock at the Horan & McConaty Funeral Home in Lakewood, Colorado.

The Funeral Mass is Monday, September 10, 2018 at ten o'clock in the morning at Notre Dame Catholic Church. Interment will be Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at nine-fifteen in the morning at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery prior to nine-fifteen at Staging Area C.
