Margaret Ann Martinez,beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, age 76, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sep 29, 2021.Margaret was born on August 19, 1945 in Cimarron, New Mexico, while her parents, Samuel H. Blan and Margaret E. Blan, were visiting family. Her parents lived in Trinidad, Co, where Margaret was raised. Upon graduation from high school, she moved to Denver, Co to attend the Community College of Denver and Metropolitan State College, where she earned her associates degree in General Education and bachelors of arts degree in Elementary Education. Margaret stayed in Denver where she started her career as a kindergarten teacher for Denver Public Schools. As her family grew, she stopped working for a while. She then changed careers and went to work for the Denver Department of Human Services where she retired after 23 years as an Operations Administrator. Margaret loved to work, after retiring she went back to Denver Public Schools and worked 8 years there as a paraprofessional. She touched so many lives in every place she worked. She was a very hard worker but the job she cherished the most was being a mother. Her 6 children were her entire world. And even in death she made sure they knew how much she loved and cared for them. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Margaret Blan, her sister Marile, brother Abel, granddaughter Alena, grandson Phabin.She is survived by: Siblings: Rose Gomez (Richard), Linda Blan, Maria Pollack, Raymond Blan (Beverly), Lila Valdez, and Thomas Blan (Judy) Children: Ronald Montoya (Margie), Rodney Montoya, Margarita Banda-Martinez (Juan), Manuel Martinez (Susana), Guillermo Martinez (Valerie) and Rito Martinez.Grandchildren: Noreen, Vanessa (Mike), Ronald Jr (Teryll), Crista, Christopher, Troy John, Manuel (Desiray), Ileana, Angelica, Salvador, Carmela, Samuel, Adrian, Juanito, Israel, Amia, Joseph, Guillermo Jr., Elisia, Brianna, Leila, Angel, Rito, Mariah, and Carlitos. Great-Grandchildren: MJ, Nadia, Kayla, Samantha, Neveah, Aleyssia, Aiden, Adalise, Jaelyn, Manuel III, Tessie and Zaida.Numerous nieces and nephews who she loved very much. And her two close friends Janet and Elaine. Margaret will be missed by so many but her legacy will live on through the lives she touched.
