Margaret ""Marge"" McGuire

Margaret Mary ""Marge"" McGuire (Larson) Marge McGuire accepted an invitation from God to join Him, the Angels and Saints, and her many relatives and friends for eternal life. She was ready to go, and when God finally said, ""Come on home"", she departed at 12:52 PM on Friday May 9th leaving a large hole in the lives of her family and many friends. She leaves behind her husband, Jerry; Sons, Matt, Steve (Sarah) and John; daughter, MaryAnne; grandsons, Ben, Declan, M. Fox and Kevin; granddaughter, Elizabeth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred & Margaret Larson (Weinert); Brother, Richard; and Sister, Anita Theisen (Larson). She attended Cathedral Grade School/High School and Duchesne College in Omaha before rising through the ranks to supervisory level at Mutual of Omaha. She was active in bowling leagues and a founding member of the La Salle Club (an organization of young Catholics dedicated to charitable & social activities) where she met her future husband Jerry. Marge and Jerry were married on Thanksgiving Day, Nov 28, 1957. The three older children were born in Omaha and the youngest, John, was born in Denver after Jerry accepted employment at Martin Marietta precipitating the family relocation. Marge was principally employed as a wife, a mother, a chauffeur, a tutor, and a homemaker, but she did spend several years as a teacher's aide at Leawood elementary school in Jefferson County, Littleton, where she was highly appreciated in work she truly enjoyed before retiring and embarking on numerous trips around the globe with family and friends. Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 7pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (One block west of Holly Street) in Centennial. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 1:30pm at Saint Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 6673 West Chatfield Avenue in Littleton. Marge will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
