Margaret H. Miller

Margaret H. Miller, passed away March 25, 2014 at the age of 89. Sbe was born February 9, 1920 in Berger, Missouri to Alvin & Martha Eagan. Margaret was one of 6 children and born, raised and educated in Missouri. In 1943 she came to Colorado with friends and liked it so well that she stayed when her friends moved back to Missouri a year later. In 1944 she married John Kesterson and they had 3 children; Donna, John Jr. and David. In 1964 Margaret married Orville Miller. They were married 29 years until he died in 1993. Survivors include her children Donna O'Rourke, John Kesterson and David Kesterson; a step-daughter Marilyn Lindseth; her grandchildren Gary Bolden, Charles Bolden, Michael Bolden, Jeremy Kesterson, Christopher Kesterson and Joshua Kesterson; step-grandchildren Eric Lindseth, Ellen Anderson; her great granchildren: Brendon, Garrett, Ryan, Colin, Arie, Lauren, Arbrie, Arianna, Thomas, Avery and Seth. Margaret worked for Aurora School Food Service from 1974 until 1985. She received her associate certificate from UNC in 1976. She became a Manager 1 and worked at Aurora Central High School until she retired in 1985. Margaret was a member of Columbine Ct #15 Order of Amaranth. She was also a member of Unity Chapter #97 Order of Eastern Star. She held offices in both lodges. Margaret was a volunteer at the Medical Center of Aurora. She had 2300 hours as a volunteer. Her interests included gardening, music, theater, picnics and friends and family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Apri 2, 2014 at 10:00 in the morning at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue in Aurora.
