Margaret Morales

Margaret Morales, 89, Denver, Colorado passed away in her home on Sunday, July 22, 2018. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Margaret was born May 9, 1929 in Raton, New Mexico to Julia and Onofre Fernandez and was raised in Brighton, Colorado along with her thirteen siblings and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Jess Morales (Ft. Lupton, Colorado) and also several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by daughter, Louise Montoya (the late Richard Montoya) and Russell (Nancy) Morales. Her six grandchildren, Marti Ferguson, Eric Carrasco, Cory Morales, Brandon Morales, Jordan Morales and Devon Morales along with several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ida Meza and brother, Eloy Fernandez, along with multiple nieces and nephews.

A recitation of the rosary will be said on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 10:30 AM with the Funeral Mass to immediately follow at 11:00 AM both at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4377 Utica Street, Denver, Colorado.

Burial will be held the following morning. Family and friends are welcome to attend on Thursday, August 9, 2018, 10:00 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Boulevard, Denver Colorado.
