Margaret ""Maggie"" Ann (Bucher) Palmer, 78, was led home by Christ on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Maggie was born on June 30, 1939 in Greeley, Colorado, and lived most of her life as a resident of Denver, Colorado. Maggie received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado, and began a career teaching English and Typing. It was however, as a Counselor that Maggie found her real connection to both young and old. Maggie was a Suicide and Crisis Control Para Counselor with Christian Counseling Center for nearly 20 years, during which time she was able to connect with, and provide help to, many. Maggie transitioned from Counseling to Selling Real Estate where she started ""Palmer Real Estate"", and worked until her retirement in 2009. Maggie's heart for helping people was part of her character, and her roots growing up on a cattle ranch in North Eastern Colorado taught her the value of working hard, working honestly and working with integrity. Maggie loved being a wife and a mom, and was never happier than when her family was gathered together sharing conversation and laughter. But it was Maggie's deep love for; and belief in; God that gave her direction, and consequently was the foundation for the life she and her husband of 57 years shared together. Maggie is survived by her Husband Ralph Palmer of Denver, Colorado; Daughter Kristi Palmer of Englewood, Colorado, Daughter Kari Palmer of Denver, Colorado; Sister Ila Jean Beale of Denver, Colorado; Niece Natalie Esquivel of Denver, Colorado and Great Nephews and Niece, Harper, Lucy and Oliver Esquivel of Denver, Colorado. A service for Maggie will be held at Horan and McConaty 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Denver, CO on Thursday, March 23rd at 1:00pm; reception to follow. Maggie will be laid to rest in Home of Peace Cemetery, Grover, Colorado on Friday, March 24, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Maggie's honor to Denver Hospice, 501 S. Cherry St. Denver, Co 80246.
