Margaret J. Robinson, 91, passed peacefully surrounded by her daughters on Friday, August 30, 2024 in Broomfield, CO.
Born Margaret Josephine Wienke on January 11, 1933 in Logan, KS. She grew up in Golden, CO with her parents Ralph and Elizabeth Miller. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1951 and then continued her education at St. Anthony’s in Denver, CO where she earned her LPN.
In December of 1954 she married the love of her life, Fred Robinson, an airman in the USAF. They spent the next 20 years moving about the country, raising their 3 daughters, Charlene, Natalie and Jannelle. During this time Margaret was a busy mom, worked as a nurse, was a supportive military wife (with a husband deployed many times), Girl Scout leader, room mother, and more.
After retiring from the Air Force in 1973, they returned to Colorado and settled in Aurora. There, she worked as a nurse at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and the girls finished school and left to get married. Then, she started her new role as “Granny” to her 6 grandchildren, they gave her great joy!
In 2002, they decided to start a new adventure and moved to Chandler, AZ, both retired and enjoying life. They enjoyed traveling and she was active in their church as a Eucharistic Minister.
Fred passed in 2013 and Margaret moved into a senior community where she had friends, enjoyed the many activities, and even became a community ambassador. She returned to the Denver area in 2021 to be near family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Elizabeth Miller and her sister Lucetta. Survivors include her three daughters, Charlene (Bruce) Baker of Westminster, CO, Natalie (Herb) Helm of Thornton, CO, and Jannelle (Stuart) Lange of East Helena, MT; sisters, Emma Jean Klimke, Kay Rossi, Dorothy Librande and Lila Friel; her six grandchildren, Chris Redlich, Samantha Drehle (Blake), Kevin Redlich, Andrew Baker(Jenny), Michael Baker(Stela), and David Redlich(Karen); and six wonderful great-grandchildren, Gideon, Delmar, Rigel, Owen, Mason and Brody.
