Margaret Weadick Rottman, a long time Denver resident, died Tuesday the 31st of August at St. Andrews Retirement Village. Mrs. Rottman is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon. She is survived by seven children, Louis (Hannah), Gary (Ann), Carol Rottman Kiernan (Jim), Robert (Diane), Richard, Joseph (Andi) and Raymond (Tess). Her seventeen grandchildren and seven great grand children were the joy of her life. Born in Denver on 24 April, 1917, the 2nd of five children of Louis and Ruth Weadick, Margaret was a graduate of St. Francis de Salles High School. She found her soulmate and partner for life at the age of 24 when she married Vernon Rottman of Salt Lake City. Together they lived a full and loving family life in Colorado Springs during which time she worked as an administrative assistant at the Air Force Academy. As her children grew she was active in the Corpus Christi PTA and spent innumerable hours organizing Boy Scout outings for her sons. In 1971 the family moved back to Denver where she later became a volunteer at Risen Christ Catholic Church and St. Joseph Hospital. Her passions included family gatherings, world travel and bridge. Margaret is also survived by her sisters Pat Golas and Ruth Ellen (Jim) Tomlin and sisters-in-law Bernice Weadick and Mary Rottman. Preceding her in death were her sister Lucille Turano and brother Paul. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Denver, PO Box 173861, Denver, CO 80217-3861
