Margaret H. Springer

Margaret Hammond (Dowds) Springer was born on August 8, 1926 in Durango, Colorado to Hugh and Margaret Dowds. She died peacefully on February 5, 2024 at the age of 97. Margaret was one of seven children growing up in Durango. She met a young U.S. Army soldier named William Springer who was returning home from the European Theater in 1945. They were married in 1946 in a small town in New Mexico. They moved to Colorado Springs and finally settled in Denver, Colorado. Margaret and William had 10 children. Margaret was a strong Irish Catholic Lassie who loved her family with all her heart. She had a full life filled with love until being called by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by children Shari (Joe) Lamb, Vicki Springer Spencer, Brent (Yvonne) Springer, Duane (Lorraine) Springer, Bruce Springer, Mark Springer, Dale (Wilma) Springer, and Ryan (Cindy) Springer. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
