Margaret, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on October 30, 2024 at the age of 95. She is preceded by her husband Francis Silvio St. Peter, her son Lewis Eugene St. Peter and her parents Leo and Anna Bedore.
Born March 7, 1929 in Stockton, Kansas, Margaret lived a remarkable life filled with love, kindness, and resilience. She was a beacon of light, always ready with a warm smile and a generous heart. Her unwavering love and support touched the lives of everyone she encountered.
A devout Catholic, Margaret was proud of her faith and her family’s heritage, especially her St. Peter surname.
Margaret was a true matriarch, dedicated to her family. She and her husband, Francis, raised seven sons, instilling in them strong values and a deep sense of family. Her surviving sons: Michael and Gale of Denver, CO, Robert of La Veta, CO, Terry of Watsonville, CA, and Martin and Mark of Goodyear, AZ.
Margaret was a proud grandmother to sixteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
A woman of great strength and courage, Margaret faced life’s challenges with grace and determination. She overcame numerous obstacles, including the hardships of the Great Depression, the challenges of World War II, and a battle with breast cancer. Her selfless act of donating a kidney to her eldest son was a testament to her unwavering love and commitment to family.
Margaret loved to make sure people were well-fed and happy, whether she was cooking a meal for her loved ones at home or bringing one of her famous dishes to a family event. Her passion for serving and feeding others was also a big part of her tenure as a food service worker in Aurora Public Schools.
Margaret will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends as she joins our Heavenly Father and is reunited with her husband Francis and her son Lewis.
