Margaret Mary Unrein

Margaret Mary ""Curley"" Unrein (nee Roche), 88, of Columbine Valley, passed away at home on Monday, January 19, 2009. Curley was born in Denver on November 14, 1920. Curley is survived by Anthony, Jr. (Tony), her husband of 63 years, and their five children: Jane (Mark) Ferwerda, of Denver; Anthony (Barbara) Unrein III, of Thornton; Carl (Sandy) Unrein, of Littleton; Joseph, Sr. (Caryl) Unrein, of Littleton; Dr. Christopher (Sonya) Unrein, of Centennial; nine grandchildren: Brian Townley, Steve (Carissa) Townley, Jeanette (Shane) Lyons, Anthony (Barbara) Unrein IV, Serena (Chris Brown) Unrein, Carissa Unrein, Joseph Unrein, Jr., Jessica Unrein, Sabrina Unrein, and seven great-grandchildren: Bryce Townley, Kylee Townley, Dustin Townley, Justin Lyons, Chandler Lyons, Brianna Unrein, and Madison Unrein. Curley lived most of her life in Colorado. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from Saint Mary College, Leavenworth, KS and received her master's degree in library science from the University of Denver. Curley's life's passion was sharing her love of reading and education with her family and others. Curley and Tony lived in Garden City, KS after their marriage in 1945. They moved back to Colorado in 1948 to start a new life and career. Curley held several librarian positions and helped Tony operate Ambulance Service Company in Denver for forty-one years. A Rosary will be held on Monday, January 26 at 7:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. The Funeral Mass will be held at All Souls Catholic Church, 4950 S. Logan St., Englewood on Tuesday, January 27 at 12:30 PM to be followed by burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 2:15 PM, Staging Area C.
