Margie White, 90, of Centennial, Colorado, passed away on June 20, 2016 at Holly Creek Retirement Community. She was born at home in Rawlins, Wyoming to Leo and Marguerite (Wallace) Meyer and moved to Denver in 1944 to attend Loretto Heights College. After graduation, she worked as a Service Representative for Mountain Bell Telephone and Telegraph, until she met and married the love of her life, Stoddard White in Denver on September 6, 1952. They were happily married for 53 years until his death in 2006. Margie considered herself a professional volunteer and served several charities faithfully for many years. She was a member of the Denver Country Club and Grand Lake Yacht Club and a devoted Denver Broncos fan. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stoddard White, her brother Charlie Meyer and grandson Nick LeBois. She is survived by her daughters, Marianne (Ed) Marvez, Jan (Mike) White, son Stoddard, Jr. (Carol), her grandchildren, Katie Winters, Michael LeBois, Annie, Matt and Natalie White, sister-in-laws Rita Meyer and Bettye Garrett and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, E. Warren Ave. and S. Colorado Blvd. Denver, CO at 10am on Thursday, July 7th with a reception to follow at the Denver Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to The Anchor Center for Blind Children.
