Maria Carmine Conca

Maria Conca, 90, of Denver, passed away January 23, 2013. She was born in Pietramelara, Italy in 1922 and immigrated to the U.S. in 1954 becoming a citizen in 1982. She married Antonio Conca in 1949. Maria worked at St. Joseph Hospital until her retirement in 1989 and was a dedicated parishiner and dependable volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church since 1957. Preceded in death by her husband; a daughter Diana Hill, granddaughter Andrea Jackson; son, Nick and sister Mena Nocera. She is survived by children Tina Bays, Rita Conca, Lina (Ron) Johns & Pietro Conca. Grandmother of Tara (Dallas), Nick, Paul, Racquel, Mitchel, Maria, Michael, Rocco, Maria, Adriana (Jarrius), Antonio & Dominique. Great-Grandmother of Sierra, Holden, Keagan, Jarrius Jr. & Serena. Sister of Pina Colapietro. Visitation Tuesday 5 pm, January 20 followed by a Rosary at 7 pm. Both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Funeral Mass 10 am Wednesday, January 30 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 2375 E. Arizona Ave. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery.
