Maria ""Marita"" Kenney

Maria Fortunata ""Marita"" Mancao Kenney, age 59, died peacefully on 12/26/13, after a short fight with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome) at Porter Hospice Residence in Centennial, CO with her family by her side. She was born on December 28, 1953 in Cebu City, Philippines. Marita was a certified public accountant in the Philippines and in the United States. She enjoyed music, reading, making homemade skin care products and going to the movies. Marita was an avid traveler and felt it was important for her and her family to explore the world. With such a strong love for the arts, she often attended and volunteered at the many different festivals and theater productions that Denver had to offer. Marita will be deeply missed by her son Vincent Kenney and wife Tiffany of Madison, WI; daughter Julia Teeters and husband Mark of Columbia Falls, MT; son Bill Kenney of New Orleans, LA; seven siblings Arturo ""Aitoy"" Mancao, Maria Catalina ""Ayee"" Gonzales, Ramon ""Bebot"" Mancao, Maria Lourdes ""Malot"" Echavez, Maria Carmela ""Lilet"" Mancao, Vic Mancao and Vince Deo Mancao; in-laws, uncle and aunties, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Vicente and Florina Mancao. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, 12/30/13, 1:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given in Marita's name to the MDS Foundation online at www.mds-foundation.org or mailed to The MDS Foundation, 4573 South Broad St. Suite 150, Yardville, NJ 08620.
