Maria Rosa do Coito Marques

Maria Rosa do Coito Marques, 84, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Maria was born on February 14, 1934 in Peso, Caldas da Rainha, Portugal to Maria Rosa and Antonio do Coito. Maria met and married her husband, Virgilio Florindo Marques in Peso, Portugal. The family moved to the United States in 1970 to be close to Virgilio’s father who was living in the United States at that time. Maria was a seamstress and loved to make clothes for her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Antonio Coito, and Joaquim Coito. She is survived by Son Agostinho (Irene) Marques, Butler, NJ; daughter, Otilia Bertolotti (Kevin), Milford, PA; son, Alcino (Lucinda) Marques, Highlands Ranch, CO. Gramma loved her grandchildren Diana (Ben Scoon), David (Cheryl Marques), Michael, Stephen, Laura and Raquel and her great-grandchildren Shaylyn, Alexander and Charlotte. She is also survived by her sisters, Irmina, Graciete, Lucinda, Ingracia; brother, Abilio, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Family and friends are invited the Rosary on March 7th at 7:30 at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122. The Funeral Mass will be in Santa Catarina, Portugal and interment will be at the cemetery of Santa Catarina.
