MARIA CONSUELO CORTES-VERGARA MCENTEE, 50 Maria Consuelo Cortes-Vergara McEntee died peacefully on November 1, 2003, at her home in Denver after courageously battling a long illness. Connie, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Bogota, Colombia, but grew up in New York City and attended schools in the New York area, including Sacred Heart Villa in Dobbs Ferry, New York. She graduated from the Colegio Nueva Granada in Bogota, Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, and furthered her studies in modern languages at the Sorbonne and the University of Barcelona. In 1980 she moved to the Denver area where she and her husband made their home for the past 23 years. During her career, Connie held positions at several organizations including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Kellogg Corporation, and the Englewood Meridian. She was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be deeply missed. We thank all her friends and doctors who were so devoted and caring during these past years. Connie is the daughter of the late Domingo G. Cortes Cuellar and Isabel Vergara de Cortes. She is survived by her husband James J. McEntee, Jr., her two sons, James and Christopher; brothers Hugo (Maria Rosa), Cesar (Marina); sister Nhora Comerer; brother-in-law, Harold A. Comerer; sisters-in-law Christina and Nancy McEntee; nieces and nephews Maria Rosa, Luis Ignacio (Myriam), David Eduardo, Carolina Domenica, Andrea Elisabeth, Meghan, and Michael; grandnephew David; aunt Maria Teresa Vergara and uncle Raymond E.
