Marian Kathleen (Kathy) Siegrist (Pott) was 75 years old, born on April 3, 1948. She passed away on October 24, 2023, the same day as her father, Ron Pott, passed away 23 years earlier; he surely greeted her with open arms. Kathy fought ALS disease and was officially diagnosed in November 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ron and Mary (Richards) Pott, and her brothers, Steve (Kerrie) and Brad (Teresa). She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bryan, and her daughters, Sandy and Karey, 6 grandchildren, Nicholas, Wyatt, Gavin, Bret, Charlie and Mikey, and 5 siblings, Becky, Rick (Jana), Terri (Dave), Dan (Russanna) and Shane (Tabi).
Most importantly, Kathy had a heart filled with compassion and empathy. She touched the lives of many and loved openly without judgment. Throughout her life, she achieved remarkable feats in demonstrating selflessness and unconditional love. She was a beacon of support and care for her family and friends, always putting their needs before her own. Whether it was lending a listening ear, offering words of encouragement, a warm comforting hug or hot bowl of soup. She never hesitated to offer her love and support. Her dedication extended beyond her immediate circle, as she actively engaged in numerous acts of kindness from within her community. She cared deeply for people, and she worked hard to be a positive influence in the lives of others. Her selflessness knew no bounds, and her altruistic spirit inspired those around her.
One of the defining aspects of her character was her unique ability to love openly and without judgement. She saw the beauty and potential in everyone she met, embracing different kinds of people and celebrating individuality. Her rose-colored glasses symbolized her optimistic outlook, reminding us all to see the best in others and to approach life with kindness and understanding. Her legacy of selflessness and unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. Though she may no longer be physically present, her spirit lives on, a guiding light reminding us to love openly, selflessly and without judgment.
May her memory be a source of inspiration as we strive to emulate her graciousness and kindness in our own lives. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
