Marie A. Bruggenthies

Marie Anna Bruggenthies lived a wonderful and blessed life from Dec.12 1924 until July 3, 2019. She was born and resided her life in Denver, Colorado.
Preceded in death by her parents Anton & Louise Bruggenthies, Brothers Francis & Henry Sr., Nephew Tony and Niece Judy.
Marie was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy. A devoted Catholic who went to Mass daily.
She worked for the Air Force Accounting Finance Company for 33 years before her retirement.
Family was most important to Marie during her life. She took care of her Mother and Brothers until their deaths, she managed to take on the care giver roll with all her love and grace, like she did with everything else in her life. Marie helped take care of her Niece and Nephews while they were growing up. She became their second Mom. She never swore or lost her temper, no matter what trouble the kids got into and she never said anything bad about anyone. She loved easily and it was easy to love her back.
She loved to go to Blackhawk with Henry & Bud, play the poker slot machines and have dinner. She also had her favorite restaurants she would go to most every day. They always looked forward to seeing her there and worried when she didn't show up.
Marie is survived by her Nephew Bud, Niece Karen, Grand Niece's Jenny, Lisa and Rachel and several Great Grand Nieces and Nephews.
Marie has left a huge hole in everyone's heart that knew her and will be missed beyond words. Some even say she was a Saint, those closest will agree.
Service will be held Monday July 15, 2019 at St. Vincent de Paul Church; 2375 E. Arizona Ave. Denver CO 80210 at 10:00 am with burial following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery; 12801 W. 44th Avenue Wheat Ridge CO 80033 at 12:30 pm.
