Marie Dolores Fickas

Marie Dolores Fickas, age 64, died in Wheat Ridge, CO on Thursday, March 26, 2020.

Born February 16, 1956 in Morenci, MI, she lived in Denver CO and Lakewood CO and worked as an administrative assistant at banks ultimately merged into Wells Fargo and at Credo Petroleum (later Forestar Group) until retiring in 2015. Marie was a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), an historical research and recreation group, in which she received highest awards for cooking arts and service. She was also a member of the Traditional Martinist Order, an initiatic and philosophical society, in which she reached the 3^rd and highest degree. She was a voracious reader and loved cooking, gardening, singing, and cats. With her cheerful outlook and endlessly helpful manner, she was a source of encouragement and inspiration to multitudes who loved her dearly.

Survivors include husband William Fickas (Lakewood CO), mother Helen Crout (Lakewood CO), son Travis Heuser (Gilbert AZ), and siblings Celia Crout (Lakewood CO), Michael Crout (Denver CO), and Patricia Crout (Excelsior Springs MO). Marie was preceded in death by father Howard Crout and brother C. H. Crout.

Funeral and Memorial services will be held at a time yet to be decided sometime following the end of the virus shutdowns.
