Marie Johanna Fielding, 85, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away June 22, 2014, in Parker, Colorado. She was born December 6, 1928 in Newark, New Jersey to Pieter and Lulu Van Oostendorp. Marie Johanna Fielding, Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend. Marie was the glue that held her family together. She was the director to all who knew her in a gentle, caring and determined approach. As a teen, Marie moved with her parents and siblings from New Jersey to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1945. She then met the Love of her Life and married Max J. Fielding in 1948. From Utah, the growing family moved to Louisianna, Maryland, Delaware, and most recently Aurora, Colorado. Marie's passion was Family and Church. She loved to have the family together and cooked everyone's favorite dish, Grandma's Macaroni and Cheese (the recipe should go down in culinary history). Marie was a lifelong and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She cherished participating and sharing with her Church fellowship. As one good friend said, ""Marie is a lovely, lovely woman and friend."" Marie is survived by her husband, Max Jae Fielding; children, Cheri M. F. Seeman (Russ Seeman), Max Jae Fielding, Jr. (Donna Fielding) and Kelly Ross Fielding (Gayle Fielding); 18 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; siblings, Harry Van Oostendorp and Adrieanna Vriens. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Kay Haugh, a granddaughter, Brooke Haugh, brothers, Peter Van Oostendorp and Victor Van Oostendorp, and sister Lulu V. Erklens. A Funeral Service for Marie will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 30, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 21750 E. Dorado Ave., Centennial, CO. 80015. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00-10:45am. Burial will be at Saint Simeon Cemetery, Aurora, CO.
