Marie Catherine Guiles, of Thornton, passed away fittingly on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, at the age of 87. Marie was born on February 12, 1930, the daughter of Frank and Andreina Badding. Marie grew up on the family dairy farm in North Denver and married Jerry Lee Guiles on October 18, 1958. She was active in the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and managed the Northglenn FISH food bank for a period of time. Marie retired after 20 years as a kitchen manager from Adams County School District 12 where she was affectionally known as ""Miss Marie"" by the students. She is survived by her husband Jerry of 58 years in addition to her son Kevin of Haltom City, TX, daughter Catherine (Tim) Kubik of Littleton, daughter Caron (Steve) Horner of Westminster and son Marvin of Stow, MA. She is preceded in death by an infant son, Jerry Alan. Additionally, she is survived by 7 grandchildren, Christine (Andrew) Horgan, Jessica Kubik, Stephanie, Matthew and Michael Horner, Julia and Samuel Guiles. In addition to her parents, Marie follows her brothers Joseph, Sylvester, Francis and sister Genevieve in death. She is outlived by her brother Norbert, sister Margaret and brother Edward. Marie will be remembered as a loving aunt by her 52 nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, CO on April 24th, 2017 at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Reception at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church immediately following Interment.
