Marilyn R. Adolph

Marilyn Ruby Grimes, a loving mother, and devoted wife passed away May 22 after a long battle with emphysema. Marilyn was born in South Wales to Frank and Mary Grimes on October 17, 1944. She was the oldest of three children. Marilyn met Bill Adolph in 1961 and they married in January of 1964. In the summer of 1966 Marilyn and Bill made their home in Denver, and that is where she and Bill raised their two boys, Wayne and Darrell. Marilyn went to school and trained to be a beautician, and later in her life she stayed home and helped with her first grandchild, Cameron. A few years later, the first granddaughter, Jordan arrived, followed by Charlie, the youngest granddaughter. Marilyn had a passion for sewing and attended St. Jude Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and supporting her children and grandchildren. Marilyn is survived by Bill, her husband of 49 years, two children and their families Wayne, his wife Stephanie, Darrell, his wife Melissa, and three grandchildren, Cameron, Jordan and Charlie. She also leaves behind her sister Linda and her brother Dennis. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, June 3, at 10:30am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood. Committal to follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado at 12:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made in Marilyn's name to Exempla Collier Hospice, 3210 Lutheran Parkway, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
