Marilyn Geneva Partington (Wing), affectionately known as Grandma Darlin, passed away peacefully from this life on November 3, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on January 18, 1937, to Fred H and Costella B Wing (Ryerson), in Cumberland, Maine, she lived a life marked by devotion to her faith, family and the arts.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Marilyn was a beacon of kindness and generosity, always putting others before herself.
Marilyn married George on August 30, 1960, in Aurora, Colorado. and sealed to her husband for time and all eternity on September 5, 1967, in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple.
Her passion for music and art shone brightly throughout her life. An accomplished pianist, violinist, and harmonica player along with her voice, a familiar comfort, could light up any room and summon a chorus of voices to join in song.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter Deborah (Randy) Allenbaugh, Granddaughters Amber (Jim) Mazzurco and Lynlee (Kurt) McGary. Great grandchildren Mikayla and Kaitlyn Mazzurco, Brandon and Brooklyn McGary, Sisters Louise Anderson and Roberta Bodlovick.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 54 years George Stanley Partington, Parents, Fred and Costella Wing, and 4 Brothers and Sisters.
Marilyn's legacy of love, music, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all those who knew her.
Until we meet again, she will be missed.
