Marilyn Price died at her Denver, Colorado home on December 30th, 2019, after spending the Christmas holidays with her three children, families and grandchildren.
Marilyn was born on September 18th, 1940, in Bay City, Michigan to Edward and Bernadine Marcott. She was the oldest and only daughter, with four younger brothers, Edward, Gary, Chuck and Roger Marcott, all who preceded her in death. She is survived by her 3 children: Robert, David, Susan, and 4 grandchildren.
Marilyn married James Price on October 27th, 1962, at St. Anne's Church in Santa Monica, California.
They raised their family in Southern California starting out in Agoura Hills for 11 years and then moving to Laguna Hills in 1977 where they lived for over 15 years. They retired young and traveled via RV for a few years before settling in El Cajon, California. They later moved to Kingman, Arizona to be near Marilyn's parents.
Marilyn held many positions over her lifetime with her primary career at Mission Viejo Company as a loan processor for over 10 years. After a brief stint as the owner/operator of the Orland RV Park in northern California, she also enjoyed a position at the Viejas Casino and Resort, near El Cajon, California.
After losing her husband James in November of 2016, Marilyn moved to Denver to be near her eldest son Robert, his wife Kathy, and her granddaughters Lindsay and Audrey. She made the most of her time there spending it with her granddaughters and enjoying the Colorado lifestyle including trips to the Avalanche and Broncos games, Red Rocks concerts, and the mountains. She also was able to visit her other children on vacations to Solano Beach, California with her son Dave, Niki and grandsons Niko and Jordan, as well as taking a Mexican Riviera cruise with her daughter Susan and Tracy. She always had an adventurous spirit, liked to travel and spend time with her children, as well as follow their accomplishments with great pride.
Marilyn had a pet dog by her side most of her adult life, with German Shepherds in the early years (Amigo, Inka and Anja), a Collie named Mindy, a Border Collie named Echo, and in the end, a Maltese named Gracie.
Marilyn will be laid to rest with her husband James at the Ascension Cemetery in Lake Forest, California.
