Marion G. Bissonnette of Denver, 96, passed away on Nov. 8, 2010, after a long convalescence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Bissonnette, and her son, James McClanahan. Marion was a long-time artist and art teacher who enjoyed painting landscapes and portraits in bright, warm colors. She also greatly enjoyed a wide circle of lively friends from her art and book-club activities. Marion was born in Oklahoma on July 13, 1914. She later moved with her family to Houston and then to Omaha. In 1956 she finally realized her dream of moving to Denver with her family. She is survived by her son, E. Thomas McClanahan of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Carol Linn of Plano, Texas; and her grandson Michael Patrick McClanahan of Kansas City, Missouri. A Memorial Service for Marion will be held at 1:00 PM, on Friday, January 21, 2011, at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue (at Parker Rd), Aurora, Colorado, 80014
