Marion Olive Krout, 89, passed away June 22, 2008, while residing in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born May 27, 1919, in Bayfield, CO, to Orville and Iva Mae Peterson Senter. Marion and her husband, Arthur ""Bud"" Krout moved to Alamosa in 1952, where they co-owned and operated Bud & Carl's laundry. Marion worked at JC Penney and then worked at the Alamosa National Bank for 15 years. They retired to Arizona in the early 70's and then moved to Springville, Utah in the 80's. Bud died in 1989, and after a few years, Marion returned to Alamosa. Her deteriorating health caused her to move to Colorado Springs where she lived until her passing. Marion is survived by her three children: Dennis (Sally) Krout, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Donna (Ray) Wheeler, Colorado Springs; and Neje Oaks, of Monte Vista, Co. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Larry (Keri) Krout, Dave (Jeannie) Krout, Tami (Eric) DeGolyer, Jana (Bobby) Pierce, Gary (Alice) Wheeler, Susan Wheeler, Richard (Jennifer Lueck) Wheeler, Kimberley (Matthew) Montini; Jason (Mandy) Wheeler, Jared Oaks; and 29 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Bud; sister, Mabel Condit and brother, Max Senter, preceded her in death. Funeral services for Marion will be held in Utah at 10:00am, on Friday, June 27th, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 11200 North Alpine Highway, in Highland, Utah.
