Marion Josephine Young

Marion Josephine Young, age 84, passed away October 3, 2009. Jo was born in St. Joseph, MO and graduated from Benton High in 1943. She moved to Tulsa, OK in 1953 and was employed with Shell Oil. Shell moved offices to Denver in 1954 and Jo moved, too. She worked as a Lease Analyst at Shell until 1975, when Shell moved offices to Houston. Jo stayed put. Between 1976 and 1987, she worked for various Oil and Gas firms in the area and remained a Colorado resident for 55 years. Go Broncos! Aunt Jody loved the mountains and in years past enjoyed skiing. She loved the outdoors and all animals. Her beloved Lab-mix Jenny survives her and resides in Tulsa, OK. Surviving also are her sister, Betty Lee Stalder of Tulsa, OK; nephew Kelley Martin Stalder (Jan) and great-nephew Jeffrey Sean Stalder of Parker, TX; niece Tambra Lee Solis, great-niece Jennifer Marie Solis and greatnephew Marcus Edward Solis of Tulsa, OK, and great-nephew Joseph Lee Solis (Melinda) and great-great nephew Alejandro Robert Dean Solis of Owasso, OK. Our sincere thanks to the nursing staff, aides, and administration at Clermont Park. The care for Jo and the support for us over the last 18 months has been beyond reproach.
