Marjorie Veitch Collins

April 2, 1939 — March 4, 2012

Marjorie (Marjie) Collins, 72. Marjorie was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on April 2, 1939 and passed on March 4, 2012. She is survived by her three children Christie (Mike) Griffith, Corrie Collins, Casey (Wendy) Collins and her former spouse and friend Bill Collins. In addition, she is survived by six grandchildren Cortney and Hope Griffith of Ft.Worth Texas, Alex Collins of Littleton, Shawn Collins of Aurora, Heather and Megan Collins of Silverthorne and one great-grandson, Christian Recktenwald also of Ft. Worth Texas. She married Bill Collins in 1963 and became a United States citizen in 1970. The family lived in Michigan until 1977 then moved to Colorado where she became an accountant and had her own business after retiring in the early nineties. She enjoyed time with her family and friends, bargain shopping on-line and around town, crunching numbers, living on the park and waking to the sunrise from her window each morning. She had numerous adventures including trips to Central America, New York City, the Pacific Northwest, a cruise to Mexico, rafting on the Arkansas River and swimming with dolphins. Family and Friends were the center of her life and she enjoyed playing bingo and traveling with each of them. Marjie will be greatly missed and forever remembered as the matriarch of the Collins family. The love she surrounded everyone in her life with, will be in our hearts always. A Visitation for Marjorie will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00 on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm on Friday, March 9, 2012 also at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado. Memorial Donations in Marjorie's name are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 2255 South Oneida Street, Denver, CO 80224 Please share memories and leave condolences for Marjorie's family by signing the guestbook.
