Marjorie L. McDonald, 93, of Centennial, CO passed away on November 2, 2015 in Denver. She was born November 21, 1921 in Burlington, CO to Elim & Ruth (Olson) Jacobson. Throughout her life, Marjorie worked as a tour guide in the Washington DC area where she met people from all different walks of life. She enjoyed playing Bridge with friends and gambling in Blackhawk, CO. She had a great love for her family and her black standard poodle, Milly. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James B. McDonald; and son, John Edward McDonald. Survivors include her daughter, Mona Key Schmidt & husband, Bernard; son, James A. McDonald & wife, Pauline; daughter in law, Lois McDonald; grandchildren, Matt, Taylor & Paige McDonald, Dennis Key & Chris Lee; great grandchildren, Trevor & Colin Key, James, Sophie, Alanah & Imogen Lee; as well as many additional friends and family members. Memorial services for Marjorie will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, CO 80014 with a reception following on the premises. Interment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her late husband.
