Marge was born and raised in Loup City, Nebraska. Her parents were Edith R. (Henry) and Lawrence N. Smith. She was the youngest of six children. Through her 92 years she always called Loup City her home. Marge passed away peacefully at home in Westminster, Colorado.
Marge was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and friend. She married Thomas Wagner in 1950 and began a life journey with him that took them to many different cities. Marge made friends easily through her kindness and ability to make everyone feel special. She enjoyed cooking and hosting parties. Marge enjoyed embroidering and cross-stitching as hobbies and volunteered at local hospitals to help bring cheer to those who needed it most. Marge was an avid bridge player. She lived her life with grace and a strong faith in God and family.
Marge is survived by her daughters Patricia (Michael) Hordell and Barbara (Doug) Cox and son-in-law Peter Mahoney. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Jason, Brandon, Tyler (Stephanie), Shannon, Madison, Morgan and Elizabeth and four great-grandchildren: Emilee, Aidan, Wesley and Giana. Her family was her greatest joy. She always put them first in everything she did.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom and her daughter, Dianne Mahoney. They, along with her mother, father, brothers, sisters and many loved ones, were waiting to greet her after her final move to God's kingdom on April 9th.
Funeral arrangements are with Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 W. 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO. 80003. Funeral services and interment will take place at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City, Nebraska.
