Mark Alex Edrich

July 24, 1989 — November 7, 2005

Mark Alex Edrich passed away November 7, 2005, at the age of 16. A sweet, sensitive, and gentle boy, Mark had only begun to spread his wings and show us what kind of man he would become. A Junior at Green Mountain High School, Mark excelled in his coursework and loved math and science. He was a math tutor, and enjoyed helping other students as much as they loved Mark's help. He was a very talented musician and played both the piano and saxophone in the school orchestra and jazz bands. His favorite hobby was trading and collecting Pokemon cards, and he was a member of the Lakewood Pokemon Trading Card League. He dreamed of becoming a biologist, going to MIT, making a difference. Mark was an active teenager, a wonderful young man, a loving son, brother and friend. His life was too short, but his memory will continue to touch the hearts of everyone who knew him with joy. Mark is survived by his father John, mother and step-father LecClier and Fred Kelly; sister Kristin; brother Matthew; grandparents Arnold and Rosemarie Edrich and Betty Smith; many aunts, uncles and cousins who were his best friends. Visitation Thursday, November 10, 5-7 PM with Rosary at 7 PM, both at Horan & McConaty Funeral Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. A Funeral Mass will be held at Christ On The Mountain Catholic Church, 13922 W. Utah Ave., Lakewood, at 1:00 PM, Friday November 11. Interment will follow the service at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
