Mark F. Kennedy Mark F. Kennedy, age 56, of Greenwood Village, CO, died Sunday, January 11, 2009, while helicopter skiing in Canada. Mark was born May 9, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio. He attended Hawken School in Gates Mills, Ohio, earned a B.A. from Case Western Reserve University and a J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law. Mark began his career at the law firm of Thompson, Hine and Flory in Cleveland, OH. In 1993, Mark, and his wife, Suzy, relocated from Cleveland to Denver. Mark was a founding partner of the Denverbased civil litigation firm Wheeler Trigg Kennedy LLP. He was a passionate advocate for his clients and a seasoned trial lawyer with indepth experience in representing franchisors in litigation, arbitration and mediation throughout the country. Avid skiers, Mark and Suzy, and their beloved dogs, Brenna and Maddie, divided their time between homes in Greenwood Village and Vail. They are members of the congregation of Trinity Church of Edwards, CO. Among the charities generously suppported by Mark were Hawken School and The Denver Dumb Friends League. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Virginia, of Shaker Heights, OH. In addition to his wife, Suzy, Mark is survived by his brother, Dr. Alexander Kennedy, and his wife, Maggie, of New Hampshire. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews, friends, and colleagues. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO 80246.
