Marlene M. Wold

February 1, 1939 — April 3, 2009

Marlene, born on February 1, 1939 to Kathryn and George Walters in Monticello MN. She graduated from Monticello High School in 1957 and married Marvin Dirkswager and had son Mark; they later divorced and Marlene married Richard A. Wold. Richard and Marlene moved to Patterson, California. They had 2 children Craig and Paul. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Turlock, California. She also played on a softball league and she coached a Little League team for her son. The family also liked to go camping where they would take the Dune Buggy. Marlene had a 1964 Ford Falcon that she loved to drive. The family moved to Denver in 1979 and she worked downtown at an oil and gas company for many years. She always had an open door to anyone that needed a place to stay. She had many friends and was very close to everyone she knew. Every summer she looked forward to going to Minnesota to see all her family and friends. She played cards with the ladies that called themselves the ""Card Queens"". She loved to go gambling every chance she had. She loved the Broncos and the Rockies and sat on the couch and cursed the teams for every game. She passed away unexpectedly on Friday April 3, 2009. She is survived by her Husband, Richard; Children~ JoLynn, Becky, Melissa, Todd, Mark (Karen), Craig and Paul (Bonnie); Grandchildren~ Michael, Sarah, Jodi (Kevin), J.D., Jason, Allen, Mandy, Patrick, Marcus and Thomas. Great-grandchildren~ Athena, Cheyenne, Isaiah, Natalie, Bridget, Dakota, and Dominic. Siblings~ Tom (Jane), Doug (Shelly), and Jim. Preceded in death by Kelly Wold, Baby girl Walters, Nicholas Loch, Marilyn Walters. Marlene was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all. We all loved her very much and will miss her deeply.
