Marlon ""Oz"" Osborne

May 6, 1935 — September 22, 2015

Marlon Clay Osborne of Arvada, Colorado passed away on September 22nd after a brief illness. Marlon was a true example of living life with dignity, character, and compassion. He loved his God, his family, and his friends and he will be forever missed. Marlon was born to Roby and Iveda Osborne in Ronan, Montana on May 6, 1935. He graduated from Spotsylvania High School in Fredricksburg, VA before serving his country for four years in the US Air Force. He returned to the state of his birth where he earned a Business Degree from the University of Montana. Marlon married Joanne Pfeiffer on February 1, 1964 in Aberdeen, SD and lived in Montana and Wyoming before settling in Arvada, CO to raise their four children Steven, Brian, Julie and Blake. Marlon worked for the Bureau of Land Management for 26 years, retiring in 1986 to spend more time with his family and friends. Outside of work and family, Marlon loved the game of golf, playing bridge, and attending his grandchildren's numerous activities and events. Marlon was preceded in death by his parents, brother David, sister Thyllis, and son-in- law Rick Kruit. Marlon is survived by his wife Joanne, his children Steven (wife Angela and children Brittany, Andy, and Ashley, granddaughter Madison), Brian (wife Tammy and children Caroline, Laura, and Amelia), Julie Kruit (children Victoria, Joseph, Tommy, Kodi, Kayla, and Tyler), Blake (wife Susan and son Jake), brothers Clinton (Gayla), Verlon (Betty), sister Karen, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Marlon was also blessed with many wonderful friendships through his church, golf and bridge clubs and they will miss him dearly. A rosary will be held September 27th at 7 p.m. and a memorial mass, officiated by Father Joseph Cao, will be held on September 28th at 10 a.m, both at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Arvada, CO. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Horan and McConaty Funeral Home.
