Martha A. Saviers

Martha A. ""Mugga"" Saviers died peacefully Sunday, February 25th at her Denver home of 56 years with two of her loving children by her side. Martha was born November 14th, 1924 in Canon City, Colorado where she was raised and later met and married her beloved husband John Darrell Saviers of 67 years. She is survived by her five children, Debra Saviers, John (Shannon) Saviers, William Saviers, Barbara Schwartz, and James Saviers, a step brother-in-law Leroy Saviers, four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A toddler granddaughter always mispronounced grandma and Martha's nicknamed ""Mugga"" was born. She was thereafter called so by her family and many others. Mugga's driving force and legacy was a fierce love of her family and those around her. Everyone gravitated to Mugga because she was the most uplifting and positive person in their lives. She never let a birthday or anniversary pass without a phone call, and she was genuinely interested in the lives of others. Martha will be greatly missed and forever celebrated by everyone who knew her. Memorial, Tues. 3/6, 1 PM, Saviers Residence.
