Martin Joseph Lally

May 18, 1927 — June 16, 2019

Martin Lally was born in Denver, Colorado on May 18, 1927 and passed away on June 16, 2019. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret. He is survived by his son, Rev. Marty Lally; daughter, Patti Mullane (Gene); and daughter Mary Robinson. Survivors also include 4 grandchildren: Jason Shreeve, Kiki Shreeve-Premer (Scott), Missy Straw (Mike) and Erin Flint (Shawn). Martin is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren: Keeley Shreeve, Aela and Emmi Premer, Riley and McKenna Straw, Gracie and Isaac Flint.

Martin was a World War II Army veteran who served in Germany at the end of the war. He joined the ranks of the Denver Fire Department in 1954 and served the city of Denver for 38 years, retiring as an Engineer. He was an active member of the Retired Firefighters Association of Denver, the VFW, the Elks, the Colorado Emerald Society and WMWA.

An avid golfer, Martin played as often as possible. He always had a smile for everyone and always a positive attitude. He never met a stranger.
