Martin Roberts

Martin Roberts of Thornton, Colorado passed away on May 29, 2022 at the age of 84.  Born on February 5, 1938 in Arizona, Martin eventually moved to Colorado.  Martin and his wife of nearly 60 years, Cecilia, built a large and loving family in Thornton.  Martin is survived by his wife, 5 Children, 9 Grandchildren, and 14 Great Grandchildren.  Martin also had 2 brothers and 2 sisters living outside of Colorado. Martin was preceded in death by his first grandchild Anthony Santistevan.

Martin enjoyed the outdoors camping, fishing, and hunting in Southern Colorado. He shared this love with his entire family and has passed this same passion on to all of them.  As a former RV Mechanic, there was always some sort of recreational vehicle ready to go on the next adventure to the mountains or a lake just to catch a few fish. After Martin retired, he found several new interests to include music, painting, drawing, photography and collecting and cataloging baseball cards.

He will be remembered for the enormous love he showed his family but especially all his grandkids that seemed to keep him young.  He loved taking endless photos and videos of them and never missed the opportunity to give one of them the Roberts Clutch. He will be greatly missed by all.

A celebration of Life will take place on June 25, 2022 at the Trail Winds Recreation Center, 13495 Holly St., Thornton, CO 80602, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
