Marty Anderson, 58, of Centennial passed away February 22, 2014. Martin Jeffery Anderson ""Marty"", a long time Littleton, CO resident, passed away with his beloved wife, Doreen, by his side. Marty was born in Denver, CO to parents, Joann and Donald Anderson, also of Littleton. Marty left behind his wife and forever ""Honey"" Doreen; Brothers, Mike (Pam) Anderson and Chris (Marianne) Anderson; Sister, Gerri (David) Crews and Donna (Rob) Williams. Marty also had many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins - Niece, Heather; Nephews, Derrick, Corey, Jamie, Patrick, David, Dominick, Andrew and the late David W. Crews, Jr.; Grand Nephews, Michael and Win; Grand Nieces, Brittany, Chambers, Anderson ""Annelaine"" and baby Maddison. Marty was a loving & outstanding Godfather to David Jr. and Corey. Marty's first Aunts - Aunt Jody, Aunt Bonnie, and Aunt Esther. Marty's cousin and dear friend was Mike Bucci. Marty had a very close relationship with his dear Uncle Danny Capra (Wheatridge). Danny took Marty under his wings and showed Marty the expert profession of Plumbing. Danny was a Master Plumber and was considered by other Denver plumbers as a ""perfectionist in plumbing"". Marty spent time working and hanging out with his beloved Uncle Danny. Danny passed away not long ago, but Marty had time to spend many afternoons calling his favorite Uncle Danny and chatting on the phone. Marty knew his Uncle was not feeling well and Marty often was sick as well, however Marty always ""checked in"" on his beloved Uncle. Marty attended Arlington High School, Texas and the University of Texas @ Arlington. Marty held a variety of positions in his life to include: Quality Control Manager at a nuclear glove-box manufacturer, Operations Manager at The Unicorn (fine dining in Littleton, CO), assisted in operations of Joann's Italian Deli in North Denver, Operations Plant Manager for Environmental Material, Plumbing, Printing, Mechanical operations and management. Marty made the best sausage in town at Clyde's Sausage, Denver, CO. He was the go-to guy for any hands on job that needed to be done for his family and friends. Marty had many hobbies and interests during his life. He enjoyed his family and friends and loved the outdoors. He was a wonderful outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. Marty loved his trips to Las Vegas and Central City. Marty had the coolest Bronco and loved to explore in ""Marty's Yellow Bronco"". Marty was completely devoted to his loving parents. Marty's beloved Father Donald passed away only 20 days prior to Marty. Marty is joined with his parents, grandparents, nephew, many other loved ones in eternal life with our Lord. Marty read the bible faithfully and was a devoted Catholic. Along with his love of his parents he adored and cherished all his nephews and nieces. He lavished his love for them with kindness, caring and amazing gifts. Marty was a devoted brother to Mike, his best friend. Marty recognized and honored his Italian- American heritage with pride and honor. Marty was known for his famous gourmet soups, along with his love for ""Santiago's"" breakfast burritos and 7-11 Big Gulps. Marty loved the ""Feast of the Seven Fishes"" held on Christmas Eve. Marty was named by his parents Don and Joann after the Academy Award winner for Best Picture 1955 ""Marty"". Ironically the movie was very similar to ""Our Marty"". Marty was ill for many years and yet with the agony and enormous medical issues he was faced with, his best medicine was his devoted and loving wife, Doreen, always by his side. Marty had a complete and total pure heart and we trust God will grant Marty all the blessings that Eternal Life may hold. Visitation Sunday, 3PM-4PM with Rosary following at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial. Funeral Mass Monday, 10AM, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 3549 Navajo Street, Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
