Marvin G. Epps

December 22, 1931 — March 16, 2012

Marvin G. Epps, 80 years of age, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on March 16, 2012. Marvin is survived by his wife Carol (McGaha) Epps. Marv, husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, left us loving him late Friday night. Having overcome a previous cancer battle, a ruptured appendix without surgery, and a two and a half year struggle with a second round of cancer, his body could take no more. Enjoying sports always he took fond memories of attending Bronco, Avalanche, and Rockie games together with countless hours of television -- encompassing - sporting events. He loved travel, including trips to London, England and Sydney, Australia, and could tell you what he ate at nearly every stop. He spent weeks of time and work-till-you-drop energy building and addition and remodeling a cabin in the Snowy Range of Wyoming. There he had many happy hours of snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and entertaining friends and family. His career as a real estate appraiser brought him great satisfaction and while he might not immediately recall a name, he could tell you the floor plan of nearly every home he appraised. With a great sense of humor and a Golden Rule life style, he left us with inspiration, respect, and love. A Memorial Service for Marvin will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue (at Parker Rd) Aurora, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marvin are suggested to The Denver Hospice, 501 South Cherry Street, Suite 700, Denver, CO 80246.
