Marvin V. Lang

December 9, 1927 — November 2, 2010

The Life of Marvin Lang Born December 9th, 1927 in Hegbert, Minnesota. Son of Anna Dehna Lang and Albert E. Lang, Brother of Wallace Lang and Donald Lang. Moved to Colorado in 1928 first to Ray, Colorado then to Denver. Attended Barnum Grade School, Lake Junior High and West High School. Learned the printing trade in high school and worked part during his senior year at the Todd Company. He continued working there for 12 years. He went to Hirshfeld Press as a Lithographer for 35 years and retired in January 1993. Married Betty Compton December 31, 1952 and they had six children. Robert W. Lang, Judith Byars, Lisa Lang, Marvinetta Hartwig, Connie Gross and Eric Lang. Six grandchildren Bailey and Alexzandra Gross, Andrew and Michael Byars, Trevor and Devin Hartwig. He loved the outdoors - Hunting, Fishing, and Camping. He had a Record Deer Rack to his credit. His Chevy truck and camper held many, many happy memories. He took us to Yellowstone, California, The South West, and all over the Colorado Mountains. One highlight that stands in our memory was old County Line Road with all the up and downs. ""Do it again Daddy!"" the kids would yell. The best was at Yosemite about 11:00 PM when the truck started to act up. He knew we would be in trouble. No one around and five kids, pitch black. Again, ""Do it again Daddy!"" every time the truck would stall. Let's not forget about Alaska. The fun of going through Wyoming, Montana, and all the way through Canada to the Yukon and into Alaska. The Hot Springs, the Alcan Highway Fairbanks, Anchorage and Valdez, Mt. McKinley, The Pipe Line. He tried to show us the beautiful world. He loved his family and enjoyed the many get togethers, especially the Jack Horner Christmas Eves. We had so many laughs. He was a very good person and always took care of us and worried about us even when he was so sick. We'll miss ""Langie"". Marvin is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth ""Betty"" Lang; children Judith Ann Byars, Lisa Kay Lang, Marvinetta Sue (Kevin) Hartwig, Connie Jo (Jim) Gross, and Eric Alan Lang; grandchildren Bailey Jo Gross, Alexzandra Marie Gross, Andrew Patrick Byars, Michael Ian Byars, Trevor Wayne Hartwig and Devin Chanel Hartwig; and his brother Wallace Myron (Lorraine) Lang.
