Marvin James Lythgoe, Jr.

Marvin James Lythgoe, Jr., 69, passed away suddenly but peacefully Saturday June 19, 2010 at his home in Aurora, Colorado. If the worth of a man is determined by the depth of his love for his family and friends, we have lost a giant among men. He was his family's compass and parachute and will be loved and missed forever. Marv is survived by his lovely wife of 49 years, JoAnn Richins Lythgoe; and his daughters and their husbands Debbie and Dave Frischknecht of Spokane, Washington, and Chris and Tim McEntee of Greenwood Village, Colorado. He also leaves behind five beautiful grandchildren; his first great grandson; and his brothers and sisters Bill Lythgoe, Karen Ashbaker, Darrell Rector and Marilyn Lawrence. Services will be held respectively in both Utah and Colorado. Layton, Utah Services: All who loved him are invited to say good-bye at a Viewing on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life on Thursday, June 24, 2010, 11:00 a.m., both at Lindquist Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road, in Layton, Utah. Littleton, Colorado Services: Graveside Service and Interment will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010, 11:00 a.m., at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Boulevard, in Littleton, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marv's name to The Alta Vista Center for Autism, 2695 South Jersey Street, Denver, Colorado 80222.
