Marvin Dale Palm

June 23, 1931 — April 6, 2016

Marvin Dale Palm (nickname Buster) was born in Hastings, NE on June 23, 1931, to Harold Palm and Hilda (Stoetzel) Palm. He served his country in both the US Navy and the Nebraska National Guard. While working as a warden at Ingleside State Mental Hospital in Hastings, NE he met and fell in love with a student nurse named Carlene Leonard from West Bend, Iowa. They were married in 1958 and moved to Colorado. They eventually settled down in Northglenn where they raised their family. Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carlene, and two daughters, Michelle Evans (and John) and Debbie Vallero (and Don), four grandchildren (Nathan Evans (and Jenna), Lauren Evans, Stephanie Maez (and Carlos), Dominic Vallero (and Faith), eight great grandchildren (Henry Evans; Christopher, Zander, Bailey, Noel Doughty and Kevin Maez; David and Naomi Vallero) . He loved his family with all his heart. Marvin will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor, followed by his warm smile. Services will be held at the Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado. A Viewing is scheduled for Thursday, April 14th from 5pm to 8pm and the funeral service will be held on Friday, April 15th, at 11:30 am with a luncheon to follow. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton at 2:30. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wild Animal Sanctuary, 1946 County Road 53, Keenesburg, Colorado, 80643.
