Age 90, born January 16, 1931, passed away March 26, 2021 peacefully with her family by her side in Denver, CO. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to John and Mabel Wittich. Mary Lee was an only child. Mary Lee is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Paul and her parents. She leaves behind a daughter Beth Baldwin, a daughter Laura Kaster (Kerry), a son Paul Baldwin (Robert) and two grandchildren, Alta and Kevin Kaster.
Mary Lee was a teacher for the Parma City Schools. She was a devoted educator and taught middle school English for most of her career. She developed many friendships over the years with her fellow educators. She was a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University of Berea, Ohio.
Mary Lee took great pride in her family and created a loving home. She especially took joy in creating special holiday moments, including her chocolate covered Oreos for Christmas. She enjoyed family vacations in Nags Head, NC holding Paul’s hand while jumping waves and searching for sand dollars on the beach. After retiring from teaching she became an avid crafter, specializing in blankets; each made with love. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Cleveland Browns, coloring and socializing.
After over 80 years as Ohio residents, Paul and Mary Lee decided to relocate to Denver, Colorado in 2016. They were grateful to take on this next adventure as a couple, to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Mary Lee was able to spend time with her family including her son, daughter, and grandchildren. She was very outgoing in her new environment and made many special friends.
A private service is being planned for a later date due to COVID. In lieu of flowers, donations and cards can be sent to Denver Hospice (thedenverhospice.org) in memory of Mary Lee Baldwin: 8280 E Lowry Blvd, Denver, CO 80230
