Mary Ellen Burke

Mary Ellen Burke, of Arvada, passed away peacefully at the Collier Center Hospice on July 23, 2010 at the age of 85. She born August 11, 1924 in Denver, Colorado, she was preceded in death by her parents Molly and Roger Lyons, and by a grandson John W. Baerg. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Daniel Burke, Jr.; daughters Jorja A. (Robert) Dildine of Golden; Molly S. (Bart) Neumann of Westminster, and Nora E. (Terry) Baerg of Golden; grandchildren Erik J. (Jodie) Baerg of Firestone and Amie K. (Bryan) Mayhew of Lakewood; great grandchildren Joshua and Kaitlyn Baerg, and Henry Mayhew; and numerous other relatives and friends. At Mary Ellen's request, no services will be held. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and volunteers at the Collier Center Hospice for the extraordinary care and compassion they gave to Mary Ellen in her final days.
