Mary ""Lois"" Campbell

Lois Campbell, 86, Englewood, CO, passed away May 17, 2013 at Serenity House in Centennial, CO. She was born Feb. 15, 1927 in Ivesdale, IL. She graduated from high school in Hanover, IL as Valedictorian of her class. She married the love of her life, Marion J. Campbell, in 1946. She was a loving wife. They moved to Colorado in 1956. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren and was very proud of all of them. She enjoyed traveling with her husband. They have visited many countries. Her greatest legacy is her cooking. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing & quilting. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Englewood, CO for many years, as an inspiration to all of her family. Lois worked as Central Services Supervisor at Swedish & Craig Hospitals until retiring in 1986. ""Lois"" was preceded in death by her husband Marion in 2000. She is survived by 7 daughters; Connie (David) Vaclav of Durango, CO, Patricia (Harley) Troyer of Ft. Lupton, CO, Vicki (Adolph) Gallegos of Evergreen, CO, Barbara (Dennis) Hartman of Parker, CO, Donna (Byron) Hagan of Englewood, CO, Peggy Pino of Littleton, CO, JoAnne (Ray) Gerber of Littleton, CO, and 1 son, James (Brenda) Campbell of Englewood, CO. She has 21 grandchildren & 32 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Leon Pankau of Idaho Falls, ID & many nieces & nephews. She will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her. We love her. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 22, 2013, 4-7pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80227 followed by a Recitation of the Rosary in the chapel. A Funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 10:00am at St. Louis Catholic Church, 3310 S. Sherman, Englewood, CO 80113. Reception will follow the services. Memorial contributions may be made in Lois' name to Serenity House, 2337 S. Forest Dr., Denver, CO 80222 or to Suncrest Hospice, 311 Steele St., Denver, CO 80206.
